Topic of the lecture:

Impacted canine management with clear aligners: from prevention to retention

Abstract:

With the advent of clear aligners therapy and the establishment of digitalization, new opportunities arise to treat our patients in an increasingly organized, precise and efficient way.
Therefore, knowing first-hand how to handle complex cases such as impacted canines and understanding that the treatments of these clinical situations diagnosed in depth and carefully planned can allow us to apply simple and protocolized mechanics that allow us as professionals to choose to treat a broader range of malocclusions with predictability and safety.
Presentation objectives:
    - Explain and demonstrate how the digital tools provided by the Invisalign system can help us not only in planning treatments but also in providing diagnostic help.
    - Establish a ClinCheck treatment plan design pattern for cases of impaction prevention, for the time of space recovery and for, if necessary, the treatment of impacted canines.
    - Provide the listener with a series of different configurations of traction mechanisms and the use of TADs in pulling the canines into their arch position.
